Mackenzie has stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma.
It originated in her jaw, moved up to the base of her skull, and moved to her lungs, arms, legs, spine and pelvis.
Mid October she complained about a soar tooth, so off we went to the drs to get antibiotics, a week later we saw no improvements and off to the ER. 4 days later we were at McMaster Children's hospital.
2 weeks later she started her first round of chemo( Halloween)
She has completed 28 rounds of radiation, and made it to every appt!
Every day is a battle, but we will continue to fight this with her every step of the way!
Something that had stuck with me through this, a friend said "this must be a test", BRING IT ON was our response.
Mackenzie is 2 years 8 months old, and we are proud of her every day!
