Warrior Jax

Jax was diagnosed with leukemia (AML) July 9, 2019. He was only 4 years old. His baby sister Alanie donated stem cells on October 29, 2019. The recovery part has been a tough journey. Dealing with major side effects from his transplant have been brutal. He ended up in the PICU 2 weeks after his transplant, with fluid in his lungs. And developed a side effect called Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD). Which he currently has again. Jax was on steroids for a year due to the lung issues he was left with after having fluid in his lungs. Jax is also dealing with skin and liver issues. (Due to his GVHD) thankfully, after 6 months his liver counts are finally back to normal. Jax has been cancer free for almost 2 years now. But is still fighting these horrible side effects like a champ! Regardless what is thrown at him, he always continues to have a smile on his face!
